Fitzwilliam District is one of three district bodies responsible for delivering Scouting in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. There are five Groups in the District: Ardsley, Darfield, Hoyland, Hoyland Common, and Wombwell.
Scouting is divided into sections: Beavers (6 - 8 years old), Cubs (8 - 10), Scouts (10-14) and Explorers (14-18). Within each section we have an ongoing requirement for Leaders, Assistant Leaders and adult helpers. The more adult volunteers we have the more young people can enjoy Scouting.

No previous experience is required. Above all you need a good sense of humour, and an ability to communicate with young people. We can teach you any practical skills you might need. Free training is available.
