District Camp - PC Forms

Permission to Camp forms for the District Camp are now available for download, although they should not be issued until nearer the time. There are two versions of the form, the first for all CUBS, SCOUTS and EXPLORERS is here, the second for all BEAVERS is here.

District Camp - Programme

I've now prepared an outline programme for the District Camp, which you can download from here. At the moment there are lots of gaps and too many knots! Can I ask everyone to get their thinking caps on and generate some more programme ideas please. District Camp - Request for Numbers

I think the first priority is to get an idea of numbers so we can start planning activities and timings and get an idea of what sort of activities budget is available to us.

I'd like, from each Group, via your nominated co-ordinator, a provisional indication of numbers of Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers emailed to me by close of play on May 15th. I have prepared a letter, which you can print out and use if you wish. It's a PDF file, which you can download from here.

I'd like your final numbers by close of play on May 29th. Any problems, please let me know in good time.

District Camp

The theme of the Camp is Back to Basics so an emphasis on traditional Scouting games, skills and activities.

Activities so far, we have:

Mini-Pioneering/Chariot Race - Andy Norman/Keith Turton
Orienteering - Ardsley (may substitute something else due to lack of maps)
Camp Fire - Keith Gale

Friday evening 5.30 - 9.00pm will be reserved for tent pitching and general setting up.

Action Points

1) Ian Wroe will produce an outline programme for comments. This will be made available as a download via the District Blog shortly.

2) Could each Group nominate a group co-ordinator and advise Ian Wroe who that is please asap. It needs to be someone with email !
